Help: how every number is counted
- Visitor
- One person (browser) in the period. Cookieless sites: a daily anonymous code from the IP address and browser, so one person on two days counts twice. First-party ID sites: a random ID stored in the browser.
- Visit (session)
- A run of activity with no gap longer than 30 minutes. A new visit also starts when someone arrives from another website or a new campaign.
- Page view
- Each page loaded, including route changes in single-page apps.
- Bounce rate
- Share of visits with one page, less than 10 seconds of engaged time and no conversion event.
- Engaged time
- Time the page was visible in the foreground. Background tabs don't count.
- Visit length
- From the first to the last activity in the visit.
- Entry / exit page
- The first / last page of a visit. Exit rate = exits ÷ views of that page.
- Channel
- Paid (ad click IDs or utm_medium cpc/ppc/paid) → Email → Social → AI assistants → Organic search → Referral → Direct.
- Conversion rate
- Share of visits that completed at least one goal.
- Rage click
- Three or more clicks within 0.7 seconds in the same spot.
- Dead click
- A click on something that isn't interactive and that changes nothing on the page within a second.
- Web Vitals
- 75th percentile of real visitors. LCP good ≤ 2.5 s, poor > 4 s; INP good ≤ 200 ms, poor > 500 ms; CLS good ≤ 0.1, poor > 0.25.
- Filters
- Filters select visits: "Page visited is /pricing" means visits that included /pricing. Several values of the same filter are OR-ed; different filters are AND-ed.
- Time zone
- Days and hours follow each site's report time zone (Site settings).
- Bots
- Known crawlers and automated browsers are excluded from visits by default and listed in the activity log.
