Privacy
Wiztastic provides website analytics to our customers. For data about visitors to our customers' websites we act as a processor; our customer is the controller.
What the tracking script collects
- Pages viewed (path only — query strings are discarded except campaign tags), page titles, the referring site
- Browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and time zone
- Approximate location derived from the IP address (country, region, city). The IP address itself is kept only if the website owner enables it, and is deleted with the visit data.
- Interactions: clicks, scroll depth, time on page, form field timings (never what was typed), JavaScript errors and page speed measurements
- If enabled, session recordings of the page structure and interactions, with all form inputs masked
Cookies
By default no cookies or device storage identifiers are used; a daily, one-way anonymous code is derived on our servers and cannot be reversed. A session marker is held in session storage, which is cleared when the tab closes. Website owners can enable a first-party visitor ID, in which case they are responsible for obtaining consent.
Opting out
We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Website owners can also offer an opt-out that stops tracking in your browser.
Retention
Visit data is kept for the period of the website owner's plan (typically 6–25 months) and then deleted.
